4 million members versus 10 people and a dog. It's a no brainer, really.
-
Why do you assume those 4 million are grouse shoot supporters? Unlikely. And 100000 + is hardly ten people, though some may own dogs.
-
Is this what 100,000 people look like to you?pic.twitter.com/KahjrHzQTg
-
No idea what that is but there was a petition against driven grouse shoots and the damage it causes with 100000 + signatures.
-
There certainly was. And when it had its day in Parliament last October, not one MP voted in its favour. What does that tell you?
-
That our parliament ignores science and the will of its people.
-
Or won't be blackmailed by a tiny minority of AR fanatics, more like. Have a nice day.

Fanatics - gunmen burning peat, illegally killing our raptors and slaughtering mountain hares for bloodsports+ £. There, fixed it for you.

If this new project goes ahead, it is a perfect opportunity for independent scientists to gather before/after evidence. NT do you agree?
-
…be compatible with our aims of public access and conservation, in accordance with a national code of good practice. 3/3
-
The problem is that DGS is incompatible with nature conservation. Its sole focus is to create artificial superabundance of a single species.
-
A very sweeping statement Squire! Define 'Nature Conservation' for me? The countryside is essentially shaped by man.Yes?
-
Yes it is but surely better if some areas weren't and could be left to thrive on their own before man decided to destroy everything?
-
To let areas 'thrive' without intervention in the UK is just a dream! No management is always to the detriment of others

I think cancelling NT membership is the wrong approach - far better to make them aware of your feelings as a paying member
-
I agree I have been a member for 20 years. I believe that NT have achieved a great deal for conservation but this stance I cannot agree with
