      I'm coping with solitude by planning the adventures I WILL have w/ friends and family after the virus is gone. This summer I'm taking my family on a road trip, maybe to Michigan like we did as a kid: picking and preserving fruit, eating blue moon ice cream, and hiking dunes.

      You want the best Blue Moon ice cream in Mich. Hands down its Sherman’s Dairy Bar in So. Haven. It has a blue cow on the roof. And for u-pick blueberries. It’s DeGrandchamps also in So. Haven. There in season by the 1st weekend in July. Been picking them for yrs there.

      Oh wow, these are the exact places my family used to go to! Sherman’s is ridiculously good, and so reasonably priced for their enormous scoops! I’d always try to get my mom to pack a cooler to take a gallon home...but alas I never got my to-go ice cream

      My 1st cousin married the original owners daughter. So I’ve been eating Sherman’s ice cream there over 45 yrs. and just started picking blueberries at DeGranchamps last 10 yrs with my 2nd wife. And we’d pack. 120 qt cooler of that ice cream and bring home
