Well that's because they have to make these games from scratch, they're not using the original code from the titles.

If a million people play a game for a year, it's effectively the same thing as one person sitting in a room playing that game for a million years. It's weird to think about, but with so many man-hours going into games nowadays, all sorts of crazy coincidences like this happen!
