when you mean freezing do you mean like, bricking? or would you just have to turn it off and on again?
The first game crashing bug in Super Mario Maker 2 has been found. If the player character is facing the screen and holding an item while landing on Yoshi and a Fire Flower simultaneously (left), the game will crash on the next frame (right), freezing the Nintendo Switch.pic.twitter.com/EDd3fqADpP

Well that's because they have to make these games from scratch, they're not using the original code from the titles.

If a million people play a game for a year, it's effectively the same thing as one person sitting in a room playing that game for a million years. It's weird to think about, but with so many man-hours going into games nowadays, all sorts of crazy coincidences like this happen!
