Except the drug dealers... some 300+ arrests so far? How many prosecution attempts? You never answer.

About 25% of my general felony team caseload is drug sales. It's a huge distraction from violent crime. Come watch court any day of the week and you'll see felony drug sales cases being prosecuted. Don't blame me because the war on drugs has been a total failure since inception.

Thank you for answering. I will look at verifying the 25%. What specifically stops you from seeking mandatory drug rehab for offenders? I am switching gears a bit from drug dealing, admittedly.

We do refer drug users to drug treatment all the time. We have an entire "collaborative court" dedicated to helping people break out of destructive cycles of drug use. It is called drug court and it monitors people's progress in treatment.

drug useage & overdoses are increasing. People are moving here only because they can freely do drugs & crimes to pay for it. We are paying for property crimes-why not the perps? Crime is not just a distraction to us. Wonder why insurance rates are up?
