I’ve written to ⁦⁩ demanding a permanent uplift in government funding to Plymouth for our children with SEND needs. A one-off raise is welcome but the support for these children needs to be long-term.

Between 8 December 2018 and my election in June 2017, I have spoken in debates 142 times, mentioned Plymouth 88 times, tabled 264 written questions and has voted in 83.3% of votes. We will never get our fair share of money, time and attention from government if we stay quiet.

The main thing I’ve learnt from China’s moon landing is that the Chinese National Space Agency’s logo is a mash up of the Starfleet logo and the United Federation of Planets flag. Clearly some fans in the Chinese space programme :-)

At Colne Railway Station with and to campaign against the hike. We need a Government that will take our railways back into public ownership and invest in our infrastructure.

A lively and positive first stall of the year - on train fare hikes! Ordinary folks are being priced out - this is bad for everyone’s quality of life and for the economy!

The government have refused to give us an impact assessment. There is a national shortage of environmental health officers and so on. We have been kept at arms length, as I have been saying for months.

It's more important than ever in today's newsroom to focus on the matters affecting real people the most - Universal Credit, parking fines, debt, schooling, health, politics - just to name a few - and put faces at the heart of what we do because they're the ones that matter

Extra ferries! What about extra infrastructure in Plymouth to handle the extra volume of goods and vehicles being stacked due to delays? Utter madness.

Oh holy night, the tasers all on charge, lights green and blinking, ready, point, and pull. Wise men a-riding, following the star, the prince of peace. Bring succor to the world, you saints before the altar: bending, watch through holes in glass, push fingers through, and touch.

smoke, frankincense. The mayor in his chain shaking the coins, the basket for the poor. Heavenly peace. The children in the rain pull jackets tight and shuffle towards the doors.
