Right? People just don't trust you with your own name.
Nobody, and I mean nobody, spells my name correctly when they hear it, and if I try to spell it for them they get confused and still spell it wrong.
"Hello, my name is Drew," but since I cannot apparently enunciate very well I often hear, "Nice to meet you, Jerry."
"Hi i am Angel" "Thats a stripper name" "I like chips too much to strip"
Okay, but wait - my daughter's faaavorite as a little kid (not): "Hi, I'm Angel." "Aw, are you one?" *eyeroll of doom*
No one can pronounce or spell it. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve been called “Renato” in an email. Hell, my company that I’ve been with for FOUR YEARS misspelled my name on my new nameplate
