NYU, yes, needs to really check itself and examine what it’s doing. But if your friendly neighborhood corporate university won’t be responsible, then grad students need to mobilize. And mobilizing in this sense is literally don’t register, don’t show up.

I think here of jr faculty in places like CUNY, who offer excellent courses, innovative ones that do important intersectional thinking, but get cancelled cause of low registrations numbers. Cause they don’t have a name yet. this culture of celebrity robs us of brilliance.

Also, I don't think they'd fire a tenured professor if her classes didn't make. She's not an adjunct.

Also correct me if I’m wrong but I’m fairly certain she is NOT a feminist scholar - and that her work does not focus on feminism or women - it’s just that she’s a woman and people have been falsely labeling her as a feminist?

I assume it's enough that she's associated to Butler and has done some work on feminist philosophy to be labelled as feminist scholar. Gives the media a nice and believable transition to attack feminism as a whole.
