The NFL has randomly selected Eric Reid to take a drug test after tonight's game. Reid's response: "This is like the fifth time since I've been here ... They're not going to catch me on anything." Says he's got nothing to hide, doesn't take anything illegalpic.twitter.com/hUIJSW4LqY

Probably has something to do w the illegal hits. Hasn’t he had a few? Sounds like the kind of thing you’d do to determine liability in a workplace accident aka future player lawsuits against the league.

If that's the case why hasn't Vontaze Burfict been randomly drug test after every "illegal" hit???

Because he doesn’t kneel so you don’t need to hear about when he takes drug tests , this is the media with another situation to stir the pot , players get drug tested all the time he signed halfway through the season therefore he gets more tests in a short period , common sense

That’s not how that works at all, most players get tested once in during the year if they’ve never had any previous infractions.

No , they get tested at the NFL’s discretion , first test starts on 4/20 , and they can test at any point in the season, once again the media grasping on to a situation that they know will create likes views , and comments

Pat Mcafee got tested a lot when he was averaging really long punts, etc. when a player performs higher than their set standard they don’t view it as growth, they view it as “oh he must be taking something”

He got a random one after a game where he hit a 60 yard punt. Every player gets one every few months

Probably as random as which calls benefiting which teams the refs blow.

Are you really upset about last nights loss? Your team allowed the Steelers to score on 7 of 9 offensive drives....

The only people that did their jobs worse than the refs were on the Panther D. Doesn't mean we should be happy the refs again allowed Cam to get hurt on an illegal hit while giving inordinate protection to the other QB.

The refs let cam get hurt? Why doesn’t he do what Russell Wilson does and ya know... protect himself like a big boy.pic.twitter.com/EIJBiDqkSi

Refs protect Wilson. Refs flag Cam if he acts the slightest bit upset after an illegal hit they refuse to call.
