      Help pls!! :) A while ago I´ve got a photoshop file from a client. Each time I want to save the file or copy the image content of the file into a NEW psd, and try to save it, the final jpeg size is bigger than 13MB. I have no idea, why. Had someone similar experiences? @Adobe

      Hi there, what are the dimensions of the file? Also, please have a look at the steps in this article and try compressing the image to lower the file size. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/resizing-image.html … ^SC

      I tried with 500 x 500 px. I already tried a few things. Just for tests: jpeg Qualität = super low new small jpeg, C&P the image content from the big file into it Changing image modes Saving as png Low dpi No matter what I tried, even a 500x500 px image has a size of 13 MB

      Hey, huge thanks for your help again!! This tip solved my problem. I observed one weird thing. In windows explorer the file was shown with a size of 13 MB. When I tried to add it to an email, it had the same size. In the panel "saving for Web" it had the expected original size.

      In the "Save for Web" it doesn´t show the weird size. Only in the Win-Explorer or when attached to an email.

          Hi Marcel, that's strange. It seems that Windows is calculating the file size differently. Please note that the size is the actual size of the file in bytes and size on disk is the actual amount of space being taken up on the disk(divided into tracks and sectors) Thanks, ^AK
