Does it do the same with other file formats? Could try saving as a different one then open that and save as jpg? If maybe that gonna work. No idea otherwise.
Yeah, no matter if psd, jpg or png. I opened also an other low 500kb jpeg. I C&P the image content of the other file into this low jpeg. Saved it, BAMM 13 to 16 MB size again. So weird. As if there are tons of additional information stored in the pixels somewhere.
That is so weird! Maybe uncle Google can help you find something?
I already tried. But not sure, what to search for exactly. So far I haven't find a solution with the stuff I wrote into the search bar
