What can an artist do when they like so many different mediums and styles to create? We're told to specialize and be great at "that" particular thing otherwise it will be hard to be a "successful" professional Having this dilemma since I started drawing as a kid #artistproblems

I know that to good. Nowadays I´m an art-generalist :D I know a bit from everything, but way to less to be specialized.

When I think of generalist I don't like to call me that because I don't like realism, I think that's the only thing I can say I'm certain. I like to work on all the process of game art creation, now on top of that I like different game art styles, so yeah I have a problem

I´m not sure, if I get the part with "realism" correctly. What do you mean by realism in the context of being a generalist? Just focus on one style for one game, the next style you like for an other game :P

When someone calls themselves generalists I think they are assuming they'll work in any style including "realism" if the work calls for it, and that's what I mean when I say I can't call myself a generalist because I don't like nor I have interest in "realist" style
