What, if I decide to use a simpler artstyle to create personal artworks in my freetime, a style, which isn´t really close to client work, but shows ideas and interests, and are worth showing on portfolio sites?

That’s a good point. I would suggest having different folders on your artstation portfolio for that. Showing your personal work might eventually lead to work in that style.
