ahaha... true. I usually work while listening to music as well. But I noticed, I often get distracted, when I don´t like a certain song in a playlist. When listening music on youtube, ads are distracting as well. So yeah, ... thats why I thought about Philipps advice a bit more.

I sometimes don't have music and sometimes I do... no difference really. Also when I have music on and it stops I many times don't notice for hours sometimes...

Yeah i feel like music is more of a thing "to get into it", but once you've set sail, well, it doesn't matter that much anymore.

I think music without lyrics actually helps to focus. Something ambient, to get you into the zone and block outside noise.

thats what I think as well. I often listening to chillout music while working. And I enjoy to work that way. Philipps point is, that you will be more productive when not listening to music. Thats what I´m trying

Hehe. It might seem strange at first if you always listen to music. It's like an addiction. I sometimes listen to nature ambience sound which are plenty on YT or spotify. I found the best for me is some coffee shop murmur background sound, which are also available on plenty sites

I only hear birds singing at the moment, dog barking, cows and some cars.
(currently waiting for FB for work) TBH... I tried amb. sounds quite a while ago as well. Like forest with little rivers, ocean waves and so on. I have to admit, it was nice for some time.

I found out recently that I focus WAY MORE when watching series while working. I love working with music, but somehow I get very distracted

hehe... I did that as well. It only kinda works for stories with less action etc. That way I finally was able to "watch" Star Trek TNG. What I also like to do is listening science documentaries while working. Space, quantum science, and all that stuff :)
