Sometimes I listen to music while painting, but if I'm trying I don't. Milt Kahl, the best animator of our time once pointed out when asked, that he can only focus on one thing at a time. #art #music #focus #distraction

hmm... makes sense. I personally like to listen to music, when rendering an illustration. You know, when the sketchpart, linework and composition etc. is done and you only need to render the whole image. Listening to music can get you into a nice flow. :)

It really makes a difference. In such a workflow, I've never seen it as that rendering is just a "paint by numbers". It's not an easy part. You'll render better and faster :)

but without music it´s so silent
Luckily both work for me. In the evenings, when my daugther needs to sleep, I can´t listen to music (don´t like to use headphones) And sometimes I´m surprised, what can be done in the short time I only have for personal art.
