I know what you mean, especially if it's areas I'm not that experienced yet I feel like things take forever without ever improving all that much. The best advice I can give is trying to enjoy the process and remind yourself how far you have already come. 
It feels like I´m not patient enough for blender at the moment. All these little unexpected things you need to tackle just to get a certain look you want. Especially when it comes to little details. It´s really hard to predict, when something can be called done.
