    The public polling on this race - btw and - has the Governor up by 30+ pts. So....why the big spending? Are internals showing a tighter race? Is he running up the score? Inquiring minds....

    Spend he has. As of 8/31, with two weeks left, Cuomo has spent $21.4 million since January. He went through $8.5 million in the last 18 days alone — a remarkable $474,000 per day.
