I believe in “charging as much money as possible”… within reason. Sometimes this works, and sometimes it doesn’t.

I want to know “What value does this project have for your business, and how much are you willing to spend to perfect it?”.

A lot of clients can’t answer either one.

I have an hourly rate that I have figured out over the years. It covers mortgage, food, taxes, health care, action figures, …

and I increase that rate as I become more experienced… stuff anyone else would expect from a salaried job.

I keep my hours and know exactly how long it takes me to create a specific piece of artwork. So there’s a method to the madness.

Now thats impressive. How do you factor in problem solving concepts in the shower?? That's where my time blocks get fuzzy.

I always round my hours up. That covers shower thinking and emails and phone calls and crying.
