I don’t know if it ruins the joy, but these drawing skills would be great for illustrating the concepts in your writing.

Your hand drawn visuals would add a lot to your work IMO.

I did think about it but parked the idea for now as it would require reducing my free time, which I'm fiercely protecting at the moment 😊
But something I'd love to try in the future!

I am probably wrong with this statement since you know your life much better than I do, but:
If it’s that high on your list of relaxing activities, maybe that IS “free time.” :)

I don't think it would be as relaxing if I have to draw something specific to go with an article vs letting my mind wander :)

Can confirm it takes a lot of cognitive labour to find the right symbols and metaphors 😅 and then a bunch more to make it look like the thing you want.
Fun in its own way, but also requires the same level of mental energy as writing. Free doodling/painting much more chill 🍦
