Does anyone know of a publicly accessible collection of design documents (requirements, specs, briefs, implementation plans) filled out with real content about real products and features? Not templates. Not think pieces. In other words, does open source design actually exist?

I’m not sure that would end well overall. I prefer to just keep it at high level principles like those from Rams, etc… At the same time, the concept is fascinating to think about.

Conformity in approach, process, and examples can creat stale outcomes over time. We need more creativity as it is in my opinion and that comes from designers solving problems and finding solutions from all sorts of unexpected angles.

When I was teaching myself to program (in order to build first version of Roam) I reached a point where books werent enough, but my skills weren’t yet either. I found a single open source project
