"Daily notes" pages have become the de-facto design pattern for quickly capturing ideas in PKM systems. Allows us to dump notes in without categorising or filing them right away
Wrote up a note on the pattern: maggieappleton.com/daily-notes
H/T for prompting the reflections

Twitter (an unintended yet powerful PKM) is a noteworthy exception. I see two upsides of this: referencing a single thought/tweet (fundamental unti of notes) feels more natural and a greater feeling of continuum going through one's tweets timelines

It’s a riff off morning pages from the book “the artists way” AFAIK

using the calendar as a daily notes page is a lost knowledge framework that the modern #notetaking apps have buried in time. a daily notes page 📄 is as good as a calendar day page. now with the new google updates almost similar workflows are possible
Interesting food for thought… most of the thoughts I randomly have on there are still about my work, so I don’t mind. And everything else I’ll nest under #personal.
Also- that’s a beautiful theme in the first screenshot of Roam. I forgot how nice your work is! Which one is it?
Thank you. I needed this.
Also, the potential problem you depict, besides being funny, is solved with headings, horizontal separations, and/or toggles. Craft is great at this.
