Since devs mostly express little interest in UI styling why have we spent the last decade nesting styles so deeply in front-end logic?
I think designers would like to jump in and help if we made it approachable but now itβs often impossible or at least impractical to do so.

It's a sad little nest we've woven for ourselves. *But* it's starting to look up.
Last couple years have shown WYSIWYG dual-code-GUI interfaces are possible in this lifetime. Eg. Framer sites, Webflow (sorta)

Yeah Maggie, I'm definitely liking the Webflow concept for websites π (we're using it for our marketing properties). For our big ole' enterprise apps I feel like it'll be hard for a third party product to solve unless we also change our front-end conventions to facilitate.
