Decided itβs time to upgrade my hardware, especially wanting better sketching, so bought a Wacom tablet
Any other apps or hardware I should try?

Agree on the other voices here recommending Procreate on the iPad.
Although you'll find out the sad truth soon β most sketching apps are self-contained with poor integrations into other systems. They end up as tiny PNG prisoners who aren't allowed to mingle with your notes

There are apps like , and that combine drawing + text, but none of them have bi-directional links so it's a non-starter. Native drawing in Roam is the only way ;)

We have bi-directional linking :)

Apologies! Didn't realise. I tried the app a few times but had trouble figuring it out or link items together. Also didn't think it had a drawing feature? I might be mistaken though.

Itβs not that obvious yet and we could certainly improve back linking (definitely in the roadmap). We have a draw feature on the iPad :) but not on the Mac (yet)

Ah, sorry. I only tried the mac version. That's great you've got drawing on the iPad. Being able to link between images (or sections of images), and have those links be bi-directional is the key feature I'm hoping for.

and I would love to get on a call if you have the time to onboard and get your feedback on our current state and the immediate roadmap. We want to create a visual tool that treats every medium as a first class citizen and powers them all through transclusion :)
