Agree on the other voices here recommending Procreate on the iPad.
Although you'll find out the sad truth soon β most sketching apps are self-contained with poor integrations into other systems. They end up as tiny PNG prisoners who aren't allowed to mingle with your notes
There are apps like , and that combine drawing + text, but none of them have bi-directional links so it's a non-starter. Native drawing in Roam is the only way ;)

This is the truth. In order to make these things speak to each other we submit to the tyranny of folders and file formats π€£
