Just completed a to-do list item that had been sitting in my backlog for 14 months. AMA

I'm a Todoist-er so more list than Kanban. But the completion animation definitely looked more excited than usual IMHO

Little over an hour. Mostly on hold with some rather bold 1980's wait music ๐ค
That is a deep mystery of my mind I shall never fully understand ;)
Probably enough time passed that I went through all the stages of task denial, resentment, fear of negative outcomes, and arrived at serene emotional indifference ๐งโโ๏ธ

are backlogs worth keeping?
per the model, i always wonder if i just didnt have any backlogs and let the truly important things naturally recur: would that be so bad?

Been thinking about this as well. Backlogs create anxiety of loooots of work. They need a lot of caretaking, to prioritize & cleanup stuff, otherwise they're useless.
I ditched mine, forces me to think about tasks much more since I don't have any list where I just add them
