It's pretty great you can mock up a quick interactive prototype in Figma, and then directly drop the iframe embed into a blog/garden post

One benefit of just naively copying quotes into my own doc is that I have a record of it as I read it, in case the original is edited or, more likely, succumbs to link rot. Iโm not very familiar with Xanadu, but perhaps thereโs an IPFS-style alternate solution to this problem?

Good point! Made me realise I hadn't added any information about how Xanadu handles changes to the original. It proposed an entire version control system baked-in, so we'd be safe from link rot. Expanded and clarified in the post.
IPFS fits well with Xanadu-ideas ๐

Could Hashing content โblocksโ within pages support attribution, IPFS-style persistence and content-derived backlinks? Git integrity for the Web. #insomniadisclaimer

For sure - I hadn't thought about the IPFS layer but it certainly aligns.
Made me realise I hadn't explained it well in the draft, and just revised and added a lot more context around the Git-like version control system Xanadu proposes. Thanks for expanding the thought train!

Some thoughts on transclusion, history, commonplace books, memory, and fragmentions that I don't have enough room on Twitter to transclude (or an example of part of my digital garden talking to ' digital garden):
