One benefit of just naively copying quotes into my own doc is that I have a record of it as I read it, in case the original is edited or, more likely, succumbs to link rot. Iโ€™m not very familiar with Xanadu, but perhaps thereโ€™s an IPFS-style alternate solution to this problem?

Good point! Made me realise I hadn't added any information about how Xanadu handles changes to the original. It proposed an entire version control system baked-in, so we'd be safe from link rot. Expanded and clarified in the post. IPFS fits well with Xanadu-ideas ๐Ÿ‘
For sure - I hadn't thought about the IPFS layer but it certainly aligns. Made me realise I hadn't explained it well in the draft, and just revised and added a lot more context around the Git-like version control system Xanadu proposes. Thanks for expanding the thought train!
