All I want to Christmas is to be able to bold a line in that includes a [[Page Reference]] and have it stay bold. Any workarounds for this #roamcult?

It’s annoying, but I started using hashtags for block refs & the bold issue doesn’t happen.
Annoying thing is that in order for it to work I had to start putting dashes in my refs, so [[block refs]] would become #block-refs, and then I’ve had to do a bit of page merging

I also didn’t have another use case for the hashtags, so that wasn’t an issue for me but I know it would be for others
I’d love to see a solution for this too! It always frustrates me when it happens. 😬

Overlapping annotations could help here ...

No workarounds I’ve found other than to have the text exist twice in the block which is kludgy. There are times when I really need both the bold callout and the page ref. In this case, I’ll stick the page ref at the bottom of the block with a hashtag so it somewhat disappears.
Yes, I relate. In my notes a bold means one thing and an italic means another and both means something else.
Turns out you can bold italics but you cant italicize bolds... or is it the other way around?

Try using highlights? ^^text^^ Bonus of doing it this way is this nice script that uses Roam42’s new SmartBlocks to extract all the highlights from a page of notes:

If you’re trying to style it as a heading, you can right click on the dot and style it as such.
Perhaps with roam/css you can override that styling to your liking? Bold instead of bigger font size.
