Twitter is my digital garden. Every time I'm tempted to set one up, I think: "but I'm doing it on twitter".
Those with digital gardens, what would you say are the main benefits to setting one up if you already use twitter for learning in public?

I find non-platform digital gardens to be, on the whole, a demand that a user learn a new and unique interface and data structure before they get anything of value

I agree ... a bit of a dilemma, because I find the thinking & lucidity general much better on something that’s a more tended garden, to use the analogy. Platforms are for discovery, not depth as a general rule in my experience

This would only be a problem if the creator doesn't follow established UX patterns and norms.
Personal sites & gardens that use the conventions of the modern web and good information architecture are easy enough to navigate.
