Behaviour-metaphor theory theme? 🤓

Not sure how metaphorical I get, but it's definitely gonna be nerdy! At this point in its development, most of it comes down to what almost feels like aphorisms to me that are often under-acknowledged elsewhere. For example, all of the pages linked here:

Hmmm I guess many theories do draw on metaphors...
In perceptual control theory, people are systems of cybernetic control loops.
With behaviorism, people might as well be bigger rats or pigeons.
With rational actor economics, people are machines.
