I know. Adding it is just a line. Although I think that if people are not logged in they won’t be about to leave comments.

Ah true would require signing up - bit of a barrier. Native comments have their advantages
Does the site owner need to add it? I had an idea for something like this, but it was a browser extension that let you leave comments on any page that could be viewable by any user with the extension.

This is the primary delivery mechanism for Hypothesis (other than being directly embedded on the page) for exactly this reason.
