Iโm taking a backseat on making egghead course illustrations, and now just do the art direction and focusing on other projects ;)
Thankfully I have wonderful collaborators like Kamil to help keep us all looking' good ๐

Initial visual style was successful because it has been possible to grow the number of illustrators without most people realising that a creator has changed. Structural integrity that allows individual illustrators to expand to their styles while keeping it all together.

Appreciate this so much - illustration always gets framed as dark magic by a single creator.
But IMHO the most impressive illustration and visual design projects are thoughtful systems built by multiple people, all thinking consciously about creating a unified style.
Spot on. I take a lot of cues from the film & visual development industry. Every major motion picture has a team of 10-50 artists who all have to make work in a cohesive style.
They have amazing style guides they pass around detailing shape language, lighting, etc. Disneyโs are๐
