An enormous thank you to the whole #WomenofReact2020 organiser team for yesterdays' event! And to all the lovely React community members who came to hang out. Thrilling to find so many other potato & metaphor lovers out in the React community.

If anyone decides to spend the rest of their quarantine developing official React-themed potato recipes, I don't think anyone is discouraging that ;) πŸ₯”πŸ₯˜πŸ§€ Cheesy Component Casserole? DOM Dauphinoise? Suspenseful Scalloped Spuds? #PotatoReact

All the rest of the speakers in this lineup were fantastic, and you can watch all of them on that same YouTube video I've also now achieved life goal #54 of speaking at an event alongside . Still aspiring to her level of theatrical, storytelling charm though ;)

I'll be doing plenty more teaching, demo-ing, and soapboxing about visual metaphors in the coming months. How-to's on developing visual explanations, designing great metaphors, and making programming concepts more accessible through mediums other than text are all on the agenda

Speaking of, and I have a course that teaches Javascript using diagrams and visual explanations at justjavascript.com (free!) No complex drawing skills were involved in making this :) Just circles, boxes, arrows, and some motion. Also, Dan's brain helps.
