I'll be doing plenty more teaching, demo-ing, and soapboxing about visual metaphors in the coming months.
How-to's on developing visual explanations, designing great metaphors, and making programming concepts more accessible through mediums other than text are all on the agenda

Speaking of, and I have a course that teaches Javascript using diagrams and visual explanations at justjavascript.com (free!)
No complex drawing skills were involved in making this :) Just circles, boxes, arrows, and some motion.
Also, Dan's brain helps.
