Had a couple requests from #roamcult to show how I use Keyboard Maestro to format links and page templates in Roam
Made a quick demo video showing the system: youtube.com/watch?v=sV4DZK

Thanks, very useful!
Have you had any major change in how you format/categorize stuff because you found a better way to do it?
Curious to hear how people handle migrations when their note-taking style shifts. π

I suppose I just didn't have a lot of standardised formatting to notes before adding in the KM system π€
I've enjoyed how much easier project planning and management is with it.
And it's much more satisfying to have book and articles notes always show up in predictable formats.

You might also like Typinator. I use both KM and Typinator

Out of curiosity, how did you get multiple colors in Roam? Purple, orange, etc.

Using a custom CSS browser plugin called stylus.
Tweeted about it here: twitter.com/Mappletons/sta
Also and I put up a git repo with our custom themes which you can download and use here: github.com/theianjones/ro

Wanted a bit more polish to the visuals though, so wrote some custom CSS to override the styles.
Here's a Github gist of the tweaks: bit.ly/36LDscM
Implemented with the Stylus extension: github.com/openstyles/sty

Awesome! Just watching your Roam Research Tour with Robert Haisfield and was wondering about this. I have been using TextExpander for years, but think I'll move to β has more complex features I need. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing this Maggie! Makes my life so much easier.
