"Programming is just a giant stack of metaphors." Yes! I think this wonderful write-up isn't just about "How to Draw..." but might as well be a starter to "How to Design Programming Concepts". Do concepts even exist outside of metaphorical frames?

Metaphores are often abused for making ideas sound more thoughtful and credible than they really are. Basically an exploit of human psychology. I think we should try stop doing that to ourselves and others.

In the "conceptual metaphor" idea, the meaning of "metaphor" itself is changed from just being a figure of speech to being a model of thought. IOW, we understand all things via metaphor. That's the thesis of Lakoff's "Metaphors We Live By".
