I thought of them as maybe things TS team could give out to people who have merged PRs into the compiler. So, I grabbed a small set. In the end I wasn't sold on the gambling aspect of it and just keep a pile as fun momentos

Oh yeah that’s a neat idea for PR rewards, but appreciate the gambling aspect is a bit troublesome. TS coins or tokens would be a good remix on the idea.

😍 sweet idea. I’ve always been a fan of the scout badge sash concept too - would be cool if a bunch of OS projects all coordinated and each made their own patch design. Like open badges IRL
