These are done in procreate on the iPad but it's a style I developed working on toned paper (brown or grey) with black and white prismacolour pencils, plus grey copics for shading.
It looks better when you do it on paper - here I'm trying to recreate the effect digitally.

It all definitely leaks into one another 😉 all my shiny-digital-slick stuff is built off the same foundations as this sort of drawing. Just with a few less scratches, bumps, and dents 😄
