Yes please! We were just talking about this with the other day. There needs to be more historical context explained along with technical information. It’s so valuable.

Can attest - vast majority of my confusion starting out with JavaScript was "Why does JS exist? Why was it invented? Where did it come from? Who decided manipulating abstract and invisible object nodes in a DOM was a thing the world needed?"
