I think we may have just solved the mystery of why Stadia's not getting much traction. It turns out the senior leadership team behind it are literally clueless about the current state of publishing & content creation.

The real truth is the streamers should be paying the developers and publishers of the games they stream. They should be buying a license like any real business and paying for the content they use.

I have bought so many games I would never have otherwise purchased after watching you play them, trailers and screenshots rarely do justice to many of the more intricate mechanics that separate games in the same genre

You could say the same about a lot of products by Google. Nest Secure, Hangouts, Nexus Phones, Pixel Phones (the only thing keeping them relevant is their cameras and stock Android experience), Inbox, YT Gaming website, etc.
