If anyone cared at all the idea I was excited about was playing a male warforged, oath of glory paladin. Rather than be made of metal his aesthetic was more ancient greek orange/black pottery. All he wants to do is be a great hero like the ones hes decorated with

Wow. So as the DM, does he only play male NPCs because, as he said, otherwise it would “break immersion”? As a player and a DM I’ve gender swapped beyond count. At the very least, you got out of a group that wouldn’t be truly welcoming for you.
