This is something I kinda have known about for a while (couldn't share) and when I first heard I had Major Feels -- this was around the time some other game studios were also talking about Rust usage. I'll try to dump them here now:
basically, from stuff I'm hearing from the games industry, and from these examples -- chucklefish, Ready At Dawn, SEED, discord -- it feels like there's a shift happening!
Chucklefish has been using Rust for a while, but the news about Ready At Dawn, SEED, and Discord all happened around the same time. There's something happening and I'm really excited to see how this pans out.
With luck Catherine West's closing keynote at this year's @rustconf may boost this as well!

I don't do a lot of stuff with Rust myself but it is so cool to see it grow as a language.
Man, and here I'd discarded the idea of applying for a job at @discordapp because Rust is pretty much the only language I know at an employable level.
