I’ve been thinking about the mistakes the electoral left made in the 2020 campaign, and going scorched earth against Elizabeth Warren and her supporters really was one of the biggest ones.

We’re all ignoring the elephant in the room here. Warren made a conscious choice to betray her stated principles when she decided not to join Bernie’s coalition. I know we’re all cooped up due to the virus but most of the time, politics exists outside of twitter, you know.

Not sure that would have mattered very much given that African-American voters were voting for Biden regardless.

This makes no sense. “Her coalition consisted of people we didn’t already have, half of whom ended up going to the other guy” is an argument FOR needing those voters to win.

Not trying to antagonize you at all! As a
@BernieSanders supporter, I just wanna learn b4 we move on. What was his own doing that caused him to fall short? As in, what do you think were his greatest missteps or lacks of initiative that caused his loss in as big of #'s as we saw?

Ah yes. Spelling out the recipe of how NOT to expand your coalition in order to win. Very smart lol.

White progressives like white Americans underestimate black people a lot. As in just don't internalize black voters are necessary to get a Democrat to be the nominee
