Would you say Royale is a better game? I heard the changes are quite substantial but never finishing the first game I don't really know, and Ive avoided the googling because spoilers
Spolier free answer - yeah 100% even without the story the QoL changes are great. My only advice as with any JRPG is to make sure you have multiple saves as it's possible to completely miss the Royal content if you don't do certain social links. I can always DM about it lmao

It's honestly not too bad. Not like Persona 4 Golden but I wouldn't wanna play for 90 hours and realise I missed something I could have easily done. The game prompts you a lot but it's pretty amazing and I wouldn't wanna miss it.
