But only if you're comfortable with it! If doing voices makes you feel super nervous, don't bother. You can always try doing voices when you've got your head around the DMing thing!

A starting point might be to just vary the speed that you speak at. That heroic NPC who's dying of their wounds might stop and start a lot and speak quietly, where a barkeep might be more fast and snappy.
