  3. The forecast said 7 - 9ft waves, but I’m over 6ft and some of the waves are more than twice as big as me. I was just sat there wishing the math checked out while a 15ft wall of water rolls towards me.

  5. I really hate the term humble brag. It's mostly just a vehicle for projection. Someone makes a candid post, then people reading it are like "if I was in this situation I'd be trying to come up with obscure ways to shove it in everyone's face, so that's what the OP must be doing"

  15. Jonathandata has been thoroughly debunked on Twitter, but there's little about his antics outside the platform and journalists keep falling for them. I considered doing a blog post about his ongoing fraud, but it's so painful to commit that kind of time to debunking a glue eater.

Some career advice I learned by accident is never discount small companies. Everyone in tech starts out wanting to work for some big name, but there are plenty of small companies that can easily match FAANG salaries and also give you the flexibility & freedom big tech can’t.
