I'm at a loss of words. And I don't want to hear "thoughts and prayers" I want everyone in any position of authority to agree that easy access to firearms that allow children to kill other children is not an acceptable world to live in and that we will do everything to stop it.

OXFORD TOWNSHIP (AP) _ Undersheriff: 3 students killed and 6 people injured in Michigan high school shooting; 15-year-old gunman arrested
To parents, friends, classmates, family who lost someone today - I'm so sorry. I'm sorry we haven't done more. I'm sorry we've failed. I don't know what it's going to take to change things but I know this will keep happening until it does. I'm sorry and I won't stop trying.

Who's "you guys"? I can't even get a damn resolution declaring "gun violence awareness month" adopted by the Michigan GOP. Won't even acknowledge it. I've introduced it every year for 3 years and they haven't even let us vote on it let alone any of the other (many) bills on guns.

Nor is the performative virtue signaling from folks on OUR side, who believe that there should be some common sense gun regulation. What you/others have done thus far has been ineffective. WHEN DO YOU START GETTING CREATIVE?

Firearms yes, but also mental health supports for these kids. We need social workers and psychs all over our schools to support kids and help them problem solve these deep rooted emotions that cause a kid to think shooting is the answer.

Answer me this? Where were the parents? I think it’s time to hold them accountable because this kid with apparent mental health issues had access to a gun and I can almost guarantee he didn’t go out and buy it.
