The American tradition of rabid individuality is a big part of why we never agree. Few of us think only of the whole; by and large we are limited to our immediate family and friends, and cut off from the broader community. Egos nix our ability to function as a cohesive unit.

I'm a first rate offender. I'm super antisocial and don't have much of a local crew to get involved with. I'd like to change that sooner than later.

P.s. changing that is never easy when you're asocial to start with and have no idea how to begin creating connections.

This is exactly the argument monarchists gave against Republicanism centuries ago, and it's just as ridiculous today, anarchy is order, anarchy is organization.https://youtu.be/W9K6ISx8QEQ

What if that ideal anarchist world also allowed the individual to travel to other communities that mesh better with them such as how online people find community?
-
On one hand you would need to allow a free flow of people - disallowing it is creating borders. On the other hand "finding people you mesh with better" sounds a lot like segregation and tribalism. I think you should be able to, but not sure how best to put that into practice.

Working well at scale does not seem to be a disqualifying characteristic for the current government system, especially if one considers climate change.
-
Yeah but the current system obviously sucks.

This is intentional. They fear what these townsfolk in Cheran have done so deeply that they actively amputate and cauterize our power, making us dependent on them.
