However, there is considerable argument about calling Turks or Jews “white.” Are Greeks white? Southern Italians? Northern Italians? Where does it start? That’s why I have issue with “white” as some convenient umbrella term that encapsulates all fair skinned races.

Jews and Turks are not White, because they aren't European. I understand it pains you to hear that, but dems the breaks.

And by extension, the Italians wouldn’t be “white” since there’s more overlap between Jews/Italians than Italians with any other arbitrary European grouping. So what now? (See how stupid this argument gets when you delve into the molecular biological level?)
