Yeah, *fantastic* role model for boys. The very model of how to deal with mental health issues.

There were lots of great male heroes about not so long ago. But then the cultural left trashed them or hobbled them with neuroses cause they were ‘problematic’.pic.twitter.com/hhcWxcXcD8

I like to think that if
@debbiefoy25 asked Steed or indeed Mrs Peel to ‘check their privilege’ she’d receive a sharp tap from the bowler or indeed a karate chop.5 replies 0 retweets 9 likesShow this thread -
‘When I want up I want to be an astronaut’ WRONG ‘A fireman?’ WRONG ‘A busybodying race-baiting grievance-monger?’ CORRECT!

Replying to @trevorbaxendale @OldRoberts953
My heroes as a boy were all robust men of action like Robin Hood or Tarzan or The Six Million Dollar Man (and indeed Pertwee’s Doctor Who) precisely *because* they did the kind of things I knew I could never do.

I’ve only ever needed one hero.pic.twitter.com/5lxemuObTY

I graduated to anti-heroes like Avon and Bond etc in my teens, as is only natural. But I’ve always liked the intellectual, compassionate and peaceful hero who could nevertheless take care of himself when the going got rough. Pertwee and Tom’s Doctors personified that for me.pic.twitter.com/aMYc8dkqUk
