Omega, a superintelligent being, has placed $1,000 in a clear glass box in a room which you cannot see into but are about to enter. He has also placed $1,000,000 in a second clear glass box next to it if and only if he predicts that you will take only the second box.

You have not entered the room, and Omega offers you a pill that it says will kill you if and only if you take both boxes. 1) He will give you $1 to take it. Do you take the pill? 2) Instead of paying you, the pill is for sale. What is the maximum you would pay for the pill?https://twitter.com/MakerOfDecision/status/1097112512984690694 …

Instead of the above case, you are already inside the room. You see both boxes, full. 1) He now offers you $1 to take the pill. Do you do so? 2a) If you take the pill, would you have paid $1 to do so? 2b) If you do not take the pill, do you take both boxes, or only the second?

If you want to one-box, why not take the extra dollar? Note that if you think that this situation means you should two-box, you wouldn't be in the situation.
