Ok, this is shaping up to be a disaster. @MakerDAO's forums are full of people crying for help, nobody is there to provide advice.
My CDP might get liquidated, despite me having the funds to top up. But because there is zero SAI liquidity on the market, I can't migrate.

It's hardly a disaster. There is a shortage of sai in the migration contract currently, liquidity will increase in the next couple weeks. Until then, there is substantial sai available on the open market: https://1inch.exchange/#/ETH/SAI

I asked for help here on Twitter days ago...

Looks like yesterday you had a tweet, but if you're using Instadapp as you mentioned, there's likely little Maker can do to help. If the transaction is taking a long time, might be a gas issue. But without specifics, hard to troubleshoot.

I wasn't using any 3rd part dapps. There are 2 problems: 1. It is not evident that one can still interact with the old CDPs, and that the CDP's liquidation price can be lowered without migration, using the now-renamed SAI. I think it would worth to highglight that on the CDP.

Replying to @kristof_cc @MakerDAO and
2. It is counter-intuitive that I can't use my own SAI to migrate the CDP, and only the migration contract's SAI can be used. I guess this one can't be fixed.
